SDMC has been selected for Google Cloud’s Proactive Physical AI Acceleration Program, which supports companies with strong technology capabilities, real-world application potential, and the ability to bring innovation to market.

Building on SDMC’s collaboration across the Google ecosystem, the program will extend the partnership into AI Home through technology co-creation, scenario development, and solution deployment. SDMC will gain access to Google Cloud technology and product experts, AI cloud resources for pilot projects, and customer and ecosystem resources to accelerate technology validation and implementation.

As AI moves into the physical world, the home is becoming an important application space for Physical AI. This requires more than adding AI features to individual devices—it requires cloud intelligence, home devices, and services to work together so AI can understand context, coordinate actions, and deliver more proactive home services.

With experience developing home devices and serving global operators, SDMC has built capabilities across AI Home scenario development, cloud-edge collaboration, system integration, and global delivery, supporting the development of Physical AI services for real home environments.

Advancing AI Home Technology and Experiences

Through the program, SDMC and Google Cloud will deepen collaboration across three key areas.

Platform and AI Agent: Leveraging Google Cloud platforms and AI services, SDMC will further enhance Cedar, its AI Home Agent, to better understand home context, handle complex tasks, and coordinate actions across devices and services. The collaboration will also support continued improvements in system stability, security, and service availability.

Scenario Applications: The two companies will advance scenario definition, technical validation, and application development across areas such as home entertainment and home security. By combining Google Cloud’s cloud and AI capabilities with SDMC’s home devices, platforms, and scenario expertise, the collaboration will explore new AI Home experiences and bring them closer to practical use.

Frontier Technology Exploration: SDMC and Google Cloud will also explore how emerging AI technologies can be introduced, evaluated, and validated in AI Home scenarios, helping identify new applications of Physical AI for the home.

SDMC will work with global operator customers to advance scenario validation, product introduction, and service pilots, bringing AI Home innovation into real households.
