According to Telecompaper, GNCC, Georgian national telecommunications regulator,   has announced that the analog switch-off process to digital TV started on 1 July. The analogue terrestrial TV signal has been switched off across Tbilisi and surrounding areas, as well as in Sagarejo, Rustavi, Marneuli, Kojori, Mtskheta and its surrounding areas. 

 

With the analog switch-off to digital TV, Georgia will complete international obligations. It will be able to make more effective use of its radio frequency spectrum and to implement other telecommunication services.
