SDMC, a Chinese set-top box supplier and leading digital TV end-to-end solution provider serving broadcast, telecom and Internet operators worldwide, is going to showcases its latest hybrid ATSC H.265 hardware decoding solutions at NAB Show 2015, booth ID SU12713, April 13-16.
 
By using HEVC H.265 hardware decoder, SDMC’s new hybrid ATSC set-top box enables TV subscribers to stream 4K videos and 1080P videos to televisions. And by integrating ATSC tuner with Android OS, subscribers can not only streaming programs from broadcast and telecom operators, but also from Internet TV operators. 
 
SDMC’s latest hybrid ATCS H.265 hardware decoding solution is applied into two set-top boxes: DV7810-AT and DV7904-AT. During the demonstration at SDMC’s booth SU12713, the SDMC representatives will live show hybrid ATSC H.265 1080P video streaming. The hybrid ATSC H.265 4K UHD streaming set-top box is ready to make samples. 
 
“Our hybrid ATSC H.265 hardware decoding set-top boxes support HbbTV, CAS and DRM, and its DDR3 and flash can be customized according to customers’ needs. The supporting for DRM, CAS, and HbbTV are mainly for meeting telecom, broadcaster and Internet operators’ versatile needs. We have more than 10 years in set-top box and we know what operators care most.” Said Kevin Zhang, Marketing Director of SDMC.

SDMC hybrid ATSC H.265 hardware decoding set-top boxes use quad core CPU. The 4K UHD hybrid ATSC STB is octo core GPU and the 1080P hybrid ATSC STB is quad core GPU. The DRAM can be 1G or 2G and the storage can be from 4G to 32G. 
 
For DRM, both hybrid ATSC solutions support Verimatrix, PlayReady, and Widewine. And for CAS, now these two STBs support Novel-Super TV. Other DRM and CAS supports are subject to sales’ email.
