SDMC unveiled a new HDMI dongle that supports H265 decoding, DRM and dual band Wi-Fi. Samples of this new h265 quad core HDMI dongle are available now.
SDMC unveiled a new HDMI dongle that supports H265 decoding, DRM and dual band Wi-Fi.
The new HDMI dongle, called DV6063, comes with Android 4.4 pre-installed and offers 1GB of DRAM and 4GB of flash. DRAM can be increased to 2GB and flash storage can be increased to 8GB, 16GB or even 32GB.
Network connectivity is provided by 2.4GHz or 5GHz 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. Connectivity with peripheral devices can be enabled via Bluetooth and USB.
The HDMI dongle runs on an ARM quad-core CPU and quad core Mali-450 GPU. Multiple colors will be offered and it supports DRM, such as Verimatrix, Playready, and Widewine.
